Police received reports of a shooting near NE 172nd Avenue and E Burnside Street just after midnight Saturday morning.
The 24-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene soon after investigators and medical personnel arrived.
Police stopped a suspect vehicle shortly afterward on NE 181st Avenue, near Interstate 84. Officers detained four people to investigate their involvement in the shooting.
“As a result of the interviews and investigation,” Officer Adam Baker said, “Gresham Police arrested 18-year-old Miguel Ibarra-Romero, of Portland.'
He was charged with one count of murder and lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
The victim’s identity has not been released."
