SoCal teens guilty of intimidating witness - San Jose Mercury News: "Two gang members have pleaded guilty to witness intimidation in the case of a high school honor student who was shot to death after a homecoming football game in Long Beach.
The girls, ages 16 and 17, entered pleas to felony counts each on Monday in juvenile court. They were sentenced to 30 days of house arrest and placed on probation until they are 21.
The Woodrow Wilson High School students allegedly threatened a boy who testified at a preliminary hearing for two 16-year-olds in the murder case.
Those teens are accused of firing into a crowd of thousands at the end of the homecoming game last October. Authorities say they were aiming at gang rivals but killed an innocent bystander, Melody Ross.
Both are awaiting trial."
