10 reputed members of a gang known as BNT who are charged under a 30-count indictment that was unveiled by San Francisco prosecutors Monday. Eight members of the group are in custody.
Cecil Terrell, 23, Antoine Fowler, 25, and Clark Benson, 25, entered not guilty pleas to charges that they lured 21-ye old Lloyd Randleston, a onetime friend, into a secluded area and fatally shot him on Oct. 13, 2006.
Brian Yang, 20, denied murder and robbery charges in the May 13, 2008, slaying of Gregory Chapman, a 46-year-old paratransit bus driver who apparently was lured into a trap and shot him during a robbery. Prosecutors said Yang's fingerprint was found on Chapman's sunglasses.
Two other defendants, Julius Rhodes, 19, and Thomas Sims III, 24, denied allegations as well. Rhodes pleaded not guilty to robbery and conspiracy charges, while Sims denied drug and weapons allegations in the indictment.Four other alleged members of the BNT group were not in court Tuesday but face a variety of charges. London Shaw, 22, remains in custody in Sacramento but was indicted on murder charges stemming from the July 16, 2009, slaying of Delvon Fields, who was shot and killed as he stopped his car near Third Street.
Fields was slain as six family members - including four children - looked on in the car.
Shaw is charged in Sacramento with fatally shooting a 26-year-old man in June, using the same gun that killed Fields.
Authorities are still searching for Missy Davis, 20, who is accused of driving a rented getaway car during the Fields slaying. Police are also seeking Cyril Hanna, 22, on robbery and conspiracy charges.
James Talley, 22, surrendered late Monday morning and is to be arraigned today on robbery and conspiracy charges.
