Man shot 9 times clings to life; suspects charged :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Chicago Crime: "Erik Quiroa, 25, and Oscar Hernandez, 19, -- members of the Spanish Gangster Disciples -- had set out to 'get' a rival gang member, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Sam Cervera. As the 31-year-old victim walked in the 3400 block of West Lawrence, Quiroa jumped out of an SUV driven by Hernandez and shot him in the chest, arms and legs, Cervera said. Police chased the men, and Quiroa allegedly broke an officer's finger as he struggled to escape and is also charged with resisting a peace officer, Cervera added."
