Hip-hop artist blames Dartmouth prison guards for stabbing SouthCoastToday.com: "hip-hop artist and longtime member of the Bloods street gang says he was attacked last week in the Dartmouth House of Corrections because jail officials assigned him to a cell block occupied by several Crips.
Sean Hicks, 38, of Boston, whose stage name is Ghost, said four inmates armed with shanks assaulted him on April 28, resulting in two superficial stab wounds to his arms. Two inmates are being charged with the attack, officials said.
Hicks — who was taken to the jail two days earlier to be detained while questions over unpaid court fees were worked out — said he had been assured by a correctional officer that he would not be put in the general population because of his prior gang affiliations and quasi-celebrity status."
