BBC News - Men jailed for major 'drugs and firearms conspiracy': "gang smuggled the weapons, and cocaine with a street value of £10m, into the UK.
The men are from Angus, Fife, Dundee, Liverpool, Bradford and Croydon. Their sentences ranged from 11 to 22 years.
Police said the four-year investigation to convict them was 'complex and protracted'.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary and the Scottish Crime and Drugs Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) were involved in the inquiry, known as Operation Greengage.
Today's sentences reflect the very serious nature of these crimes and, quite rightly, these people will now be spending a very long time behind bars

Michael Hailwood, from Liverpool, Karol Siejda, from Bradford, Jason Bowley, from Croydon, Martin Graham, from Fife, Leslie Graham, from Dundee, and Lucasz Litwinski and Edward McIntosh, both from Angus, all pleaded guilty to drugs offences.
In November 2006, officers found the group had bought four Fiat Multipla people carriers in the north of England and Arbroath."
